history
A family history!
In 1968, at the beginning of the construction of the Anzère resort, Edouard Constantin, grandfather of the current owner, sensed the potential for tourism development and bought the land on which the establishment was built without knowing what he would do with it.
Four of his sons decided to build a restaurant even though they knew nothing about the business. Coming from a rural environment, far removed from the restaurant business, they succeeded little by little in laying the foundations of their small family business. This is how the Restaurant La Poste officially opened its doors on 23 December 1968. At that time, there was no hotel, only rooms for the staff.
In 1972, the opening of the nightclub ¨La Diligence¨ located on the ground floor, positioned the establishment as the first place where one could have fun in Anzère. In 1992, the four uncles challenged their nephew Jean-Pierre to take over. The then 21 year old got involved and made the club the new ¨place to be¨ in the region.
In 2002, Jean-Pierre took on a new challenge and bought the restaurant from his uncles. He learned the trade on the job, advised by his uncles. In 2011, after more than 20 years of existence, he took the decision to close the doors of ¨la Diligence¨, having a new project in mind.Two years later, he set about renovating the rooms on the top floor with the aim of turning them into a hotel.

Today, the establishment includes a hotel, a restaurant and a cheese box. It is open 364 days a year and only closes on 24 December. It welcomes tourists during all seasons but has also built up a loyal clientele of local people.
The hotel has a 3-star rating and 7 rooms. Completely renovated in 2013, they are tastefully decorated in a mountain style. The bedding is worthy of the greatest establishments, the wifi is fast and free parking is available for guests.
The restaurant offers a refined menu and focuses on local cuisine. The products are fresh and of the highest quality. There is also a menu of wood-fired pizzas. A real treat!
La Boîte à fromage opened its doors in 2016. Between dry stones and old wood, visitors are offered cheese-based dishes to accompany Valaisan wine.

Anzère, a charming little mountain resort perched at an altitude of 1,500 metres, only twenty minutes from Sion, offers you and the surrounding hillside villages an incomparable quality of life!
In winter, you can take advantage of our 60 km long ski area, with its slopes to suit all levels and its numerous restaurants and mountain bars. In winter, a free bus service takes you directly to the foot of the ski lifts.
In the summer, nature lovers will enjoy hiking and watching the many chamois, ibex and marmots that call our mountains home. For the lucky ones, the famous lammergeier may even show up!
Built in 2011, the Anzère Spa & Wellness is open all year round, completing the resort’s offer. The Espace Bain is ideal for families to discover. Children are welcome and admission is free for children up to 6 years old. The Espace Bien-Être with its state-of-the-art facilities is reserved for adults (+16 years old) who can relax in complete tranquillity. Our therapists and beauticians offer a wide range of treatments and massages. Free activities are also regularly organised within the establishment.
